TIA SMITH,  Managing Partner

Tia Smith is the founding member of Daniels & Smith, LLC. Her area of expertise focuses on business and family immigration and civil litigation.  Tia's thorough and focused analysis of each stage of the legal spectrum, and valuable insight into difficult multifaceted matters and complex cases has resulted in solid client relationships and superior work product, qualities that serve as the bedrock of Daniels & Smith.

 

Tia's immigration practice focuses on a variety of employment based and family based matters. She has extensive experience representing large corporations including domestic and international companies in the various fields of education, engineering, information technology, and international religious organizations. She works hand in hand with clients  ensuring that global mobility and expansion objectives  are compliant with federal immigration regulations.  Tia also successfully represents individuals in federal proceedings in front of the U.S. Department of Labor, Department of Homeland Security, United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, and Board of Immigration Appeals.
 
In addition to her immigration practice, Tia provides day to day counsel to clients regarding their estate planning needs and regularly represents clients in civil litigation matters ranging from contract disputes to personal injury claims.
 
Tia attended the University of Georgia School of Law. During law school, she was a member of the Frederick Douglas Moot Court Team and member of the Mock Trial Board.  In 2008, she also ventured abroad to study International & Human Rights Law in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Tia speaks regularly at local seminars and legal conferences, offering free legal advice to underserved communities.

Tia currently resides in the Metro Atlanta area with her husband and their son.

Leroy Smith handles all Executor Services for our clients that have professional estate planning needs.  Leroy is a retired SVP of Bank of America, with more than 35 years of experience in Asset Management and International Finance.  Leroy earned his law degree from John Marshall Law School.

MARKEITH WILSON,  Of Counsel

Markeith Wilson was born in North Carolina and received his B.S. in Accounting from North Carolina A&T State University in 2001. Attorney Wilson served his country as an officer in the U. S. Air Force from 2001 until 2007. While still on active duty, Attorney Wilson attended Georgia State University’s school of law. Attorney Wilson received his J.D. and passed the bar in 2010. Attorney Wilson has successfully maintained a solo practice where he represented clients in criminal and family matters in Metro-Atlanta area.  As a partner at the Wilson Davis Firm he currently leads the firm’s Family Law Division where they now practice all over the State. Along with the Practice of Law Markeith Wilson also loves to serve his community through church and various other civic organizations.
